The Cheetah’s Athletic Club is a registered Non-Profit Company (NPC) established in 2008 by ex-members of Oxford Striders Athletic Club from the former Transkei area. The club founded with 5 members; Mr ZB Bulwana, Mr NR Mtshabe, Mr L Fokazi, Mr S Toni and Mr NZ Mtshabe and was registered with Athletics Transkei (ATRA) a subsidiary of Athletic South Africa (ASA) the same year. Membership is renewable annually as per the constitution of Athletics South Africa (ASA).

1. Provide coaching to beginners and encourage more athletes to take up the sport and also for those who wish to improve their performance in order to assist all athletes to reach their potential.
2. To encourage members to enter all competitions at all levels of running/walking and to provide for all standards to compete.
3. To organise running/walking competitions within the region (Former Transkei)
4. To promote the club, its activities and the sport of athletics in general so that people in the locality are aware of their opportunities to participate
5. In order to achieve the objectives, the Board of governors will have to organise sponsors.

• In 2008 we had a community outreach at TIPINI Community in an informal settlement next to Ngangelizwe Township, the club donated clothes and food parcels as a way of giving them a proper Christmas. We wanted to make it a yearly event but due to financial constraints we find it hard to sustain.
• We have adopted athletes from Tsolo Special School for Disabled, we donated running kits and we also provide coaching on an a part-time base
• We also have a development programme aimed at developing athletes at school level headed by Mr Thembile Nyokana who is a teacher by profession and a member of the club.
• It is also one of our priorities to assist some of our disadvantage athletes with running gear and sport nutrition supplements
